individual computers or PROJECT during
children’s worship for group study/game.
Create spoken prayers and liturgies that the computer speaks out loud...
Use Let’s Talk or
Kid Pix
and have the computer speak
them out loud to the group for an attention grabber.
You can do this in the computer lab
as part of a lesson, OR, you can create computer-spoken litanies for
use in a children's worship setting which YOU trigger at the
correct time. For example, you could have kids write down some short
prayers, or things they are thankful for, and then enter them into a
screen using the text tools found in either Let's Talk or Kid Pix.
Then in Let's Talk, for example, you can create a character who
would come on screen and say those words. You can PROJECT the image
of the software to a large screen.
You can assign different parts of a
worship service to different computer workstations, give them 15
minutes to create an ilustration and/or spoken liturgy, then play
them back in worship order to conduct a "computer assisted" worship
service in your lab.
It's really
effective and grabs the kids' attention!
