About the Guys Who Made the Ten Commandments CD:
Tregg Duhigg, Programmer: Tregg at Mojomedia in Columbus Ohio had the monumental task of programming this thing. No one had ever used iPIX 360 degree "photobubbles" with this much multimedia until Tregg did it. Tregg also created the interactive Billboards and the "flash" moving texts. Tregg went above and beyond the call of duty. The amount of code in a program like this is staggering...and a tribute to Tregg's skill that you see none of it.Colin MacQueen, Sound and Music: Ten Commandments CD sounds wonderful thanks to Colin's "scoring" of the project with all original music and carefully remixed sounds to achieve a certain Mt. Sinai-ish affect. Did you notice that the button tones and all the musical pieces are musically related to the main song "I Am Yahweh"?? Colin performed all the music too, -all the instruments but the Doumbeck (bet we're the first Christian CD that used a Doumbeck!) Colin is a professional musician and computer guy in in Marysville Ohio. Yes, he's my brother.
Joe Quinn, Graphics: When you're in the Monastery -or taking in the colorful Chaos Canyon Bridge -or the Summit Chapel, -or reassembling the Commandments, your in "Joe's Land." Joe is also the artist on Good Sam and 3-D father of Bildad the Bible Explorer in two of our other CDs. Did you notice Moses has a bit of a ducktail haircut?
Eric Farnbauch, Video and Moses: Eric and his Upbeat Recordings Co. created the wonderful videos and video effects in Ten C's. At every turn, Eric made the videos better than we had asked him to. Those are real Ohio clouds used in the Sinai Cloud videos. Eric also recorded Moses' voice. He was also the Samaritan in our Good Sam CD. Eric's friend Bill Rhoades -"Rhoade Warrior 3-D" created portions of the I Am Yahweh 3-D along with Joe.
Neil MacQueen: That would be me. I imagined, designed and wrote the content of the CD and teaching materials (and webpages like this one) and worked with the above talented crew to produce The Ten Commandments. Making software is the most collaborative thing I've ever done. It's taught me patience too. Creating a CD is both magic and God... there's no other way to describe how it all comes together. It's also filled with tremendous technical hurdles and tough decision-making, but hey, I got to be the voice of God in the Monastery.
And yes...those photobubbles really were shot on location on Mount Sinai. Thanks to David Garb at Softbox Studios, Tel-Aviv Israel for going quite a few extra miles for us.
Apart from its content: Ten Commandments CD sets new technical and design standards in the Christian software world.
- We're the first to produce a CD about the Ten Commandments.
- We're the first developer anywhere to "pull" educational multimedia through photobubbles. Up til now you could only get text and audio.
- We're one of the first Christian developers to use hi-fi stereo sound and create a "score" for a program with real music.
- We're the first Christian developer to use multi-channel sound (more than one sound at a time).
- We're the first to use 3-D landscape and 3-D animated characters to tell a story (as opposed to just transitional or opening logo screens).
- We're the first Christian developer to use video box sizes in several places throughout the program that are larger than 150x150 pixels.
- We're the first Christian developer to use Quicktime 4.0 and Director 8 --two development standards usually reserved for higher volume secular titles.
- We're also the only Christian CD that lists God as the Executive Producer. That was my idea (Neil's). As the "assistant producer" I knew very well who was really in charge of this project.
Thank you for allowing us to support your ministry.
