Technical achievements..... We broke a lot of ground when this CD was first released. The Ten Commandments CD is the first Christian education software program that used "Flash" animation technology beyond the opening screen. Ten C's was the first Christian CD made with the then advanced authoring tools Macromedia Director 8 and Quicktime 4.0/5.0. Ten C's is the first interactive program ever to use high resolution full-screen iPIX "photobubble" technology (others have used much smaller and low resolution version). Ten C's is the first to "punch" real multimedia through photobubbles in an education CD. Most photobubbles seen (rarely) in other software or on the net have little more than text and sound file links embedded in them. Ten C's is the first Christian education software to use 3-D landscape technology outside of a Bible atlas program. Chaos Canyon, the opening fly-in and the "I Am Yahweh" music video use Bryce 3-D landscape software. Sound and Acoustical Achievements... Ten C's is the second Christian education software to sport original music written for the CD in 44k stereo. Our Good Sam CD was the first! Ten C's features over a dozen original music shorts, custom mixed tones and other sounds specifically mixed to harmoniously blend in a multiple computer environment. As you navigate the Ten C's CD listen to the musical relationship between music and tones. Even our sound rollovers are constructed so as not to jar students at other computers. Even our "ambient" sounds were created for this program and balanced to give the navigational and learning experience a warm exploratory feel. Ten C's is the first Christian software to exploit "multi-channel sound" capabilities in computer soundcards. For example, you can hear the wind rustling behind a number of other sound effects. God's voice in the Monastery tablets is multi-layered and stereo mixed. Ten C's large age range is accomplished through "layering." Questions and discussion material are provided in each area for deeper exploration by older age groups. Younger students won't feel like they are missing a thing even as some content is moved quickly through at the direction of their teacher. Sunday Software is committed to making high quality Christian education software for a very small market. Our quality is an extension of our passion for teaching kids. It is made possible only because churches make us their source for all their CE software needs. We could make CE software for half the price and half the quality, but that would be poor stewardship of your trust and the wonderful technology God has given us. We are happy to discuss with other developers and publishers some of the techniques and technology we believe should be used to create the maximum learning experience for our kids. <>< Neil MacQueen, March 2003 Browse our Ten Commandments CD Teaching Materials Learn more about the Development Team that made this CD Order: The Ten Commandments CD Check our order form for the latest quantity prices.
