Grand Slam 2.0 Tips from Sunday Software

  1. Your questions can only be 90 characters or less in length.
  2. Your answers can only be 30 characters or less in length, though on our computer it is more like 29.
  3. If you're in a hurry and don't want to look up references for your questions, just type in a question mark for chapter and verse.

Sunday School Software strongly recommends that you write thoughtful questions and not trivial ones. Groups of 8 to 10 questions about a single story or biblical concept will do more to teach and reinforce than questions about biblical minutiae. We also encourage you to let your students create questions as part of their learning process. They'll enjoy typing them in too --and that can be part of the memorization process as well. We've written an additional resource on how to write good series of multiple choice questions. It includes numerous examples. We also show you how to introduce NEW content into your quiz that you haven't yet taught the kids yet, --while quizzing them on that content at the same time! Very interesting stuff. You can find it at our web site in the Teaching Tips section— http://www.sundaysoftware.com/teachtip.htm This same material is found in the four pages of Teaching Tips for the Fall of Jericho CD.
