The Four Words that should Define and Guide
Your Adult Computer Lab Teachers
from Neil MacQueen, Sunday Software
Here's why I encourage churches to have adults at the computers when children are in the lab. Adults can peak interest, ask questions, pace activity, facilitate cooperative learning, encourage retention, test retention, call forth reflection, share reflections, personalize the lesson by relating content to the student's life, and can be attentive to the student's personal needs.Adults Guide --show students how and when to work with content and each other
Adults Model --share enthusiasm for God's Word and how we share it together
Adults Share --offer up their faithful reflections and those of your church
Adults Pastor --are there for your students' emotional and spiritual needs
"Guide, Model, Share, Pastor"
--these four words should be in every Christian education computer lab.I have an entire chapter on Selecting and Training Teachers in my book
