The following two error messages can be received when attempting to
install an older program on Windows XP or Me.SHADOW An error has occurred in your application. If you choose Ignore, you should save your work in a new file.
APPLICATION ERROR Shadow caused a General Protection Fault in module ~TMP0B2B.EXE at 0002:0202
The solution was provided by a techie customer of ours in Australia when he noted in our discussion with him that we had only heard of the error with our International customers (outside the USA). The error was occurring during the installation of Pathways Through Jerusalem CD, a program who's installer dates from the mid-90's.
The solution is to change your language settings in the Windows Control Panel to "English (United States)" and install the program, then change the language settings back to your preferred choice and running the program.
Step by Step:
1) Go to Start, then select Control Panel and double click
2) Find "Regional and Language Options" and double click
3) In Regional Options SELECT English (United States)
and in Advanced SELECT English (United States)
4) click APPLY and agree to re-start Computer
5) When computer has totally re-started
6) Install "Pathways through Jerusalem" and the "QuickTime 2.0"
7) Eject CD
8) Then go to Start, then select Control Panel and double click
9) Find "Regional and Language Options" and double click
10) In Regional Options SELECT English (Australia) {or where you live}
and in Advanced SELECT English (Australia) {or where you live}
11) click APPLY and agree to re-start Computer
12) When computer has totally re-started
13) load "Pathways through Jerusalem" and from start select All Programs and then from Pathways Through Jerusalem as a program name select Pathways through Jerusalem.
If you get a System Error, just select Cancel.
Introductory Movie should then play.
