era computer equipment, please understand that SOME of our customers
don't have that luxury. This page is for THEM.
Some of the Christian software and Christian computer games on this page are relatively new. Others were made years ago and still work great on today's computers. We don't discriminate against older software, only bad software. And unlike some retailers, we're not just interested in "what's new" ...ie, 'turning over inventory." When we like a program, we stick with it until something better comes along that covers the same subject. I do not recommend "quite old" computers --which I generally define as "more than 7 years old". "Quite old" will severely limit your choices, likely have hardware problems, and likely create frustration. I understand that for some of you, older equipment is your only option for the time being, hence this list. |
Here are the programs in our catalog that will run on "older" computers that have at least 266+ mhz and Windows 98se (which is really old). These titles will also run on newer computers too! Check the specs...
Pathways Through Jerusalem -a marquee program. Simply wonderful, witty, and deep. Ages 10 to adult. One of the oldest program in the catalog --and yet it looks like it was made yesterday. WAY ahead of its time when it first came out. Win 95/98/Me/XP. Mac 7.1 - 9.x, 48030 or higher. Will not run in Vista. Still an amazing program!
Actual Reality --the hip multimedia program for teens and pre-teens. A great discussion starter and popular gift CD. Will run on a 90mhz and higher computer. 16 megs of RAM, 8X CD or faster recommended. Win 95/98/Me/XP/Vista. Mac 7.6 -9.x.
Life of Christ -Our #2 seller because it's excellent, and it's about Jesus. Study guides and lesson helps galore when you get this program from us. Ages 9 to adult. Will run on 300 mhz and 96 mb Ram. Windows 98/Me/XP/Vista/W7*
This program has been upgraded several times to make sure it runs on newer computers.
Play and Learn Children's Bible...50 Bible interactive Bible stories for early readers and preschoolers ages 4 through 8. Will run on 66 mhz, 16 megs of RAM, 4x CD, Windows 95/98/Me/XP, Mac 48030, 7.6 or higher.
Bible Crosswords & Bible Wordsearch ...description and graphics. Ages 8 to adult. Will run on 100 mhz, 16 megs of RAM, 4x CD, Windows 95/98/Me/XP/Vista/W7 only.
Life of David, Noah, Daniel and Paul CDs ...now back in print. Great for older and newer computers. Windows 98/Me/XP/Vista/W7 200mhz, 32mb ram, 2mb videoram minimum. These four CDs are a good example of good older software that our customers still enjoy teaching with and ask for all the time.
Fall of Jericho -a really fun Bible quiz game with a Question Editor so you can create your own quiz question sets. 4mb videoram. Windows only. Will run in 98 all the way to Windows 7.
Cal & Marty's Scripture Memory Game - 6+mb videoram. Will run in Windows 98, all the way to Windows 7.
