Music is a great teaching, reflection and memory medium.
Music adds "sticky-ness" to content.
And it also makes the experience of learning with software more enjoyable. Thus, we take music and sound FX seriously in the CDs we produce.
Here are some sound clips from our various programs. Most of these clips are "web versions" of the original files found in our CDs, meaning...we have compressed or reduced them for faster web loading, thus they might be mono versions of the original. If you have a fairly recent web browser and a fast connection, these files should open up automatically and start playing as they "stream in" before a complete download. If they don't immediately open up when clicked on, you can wait for them to load, or you can "right click" over them and save to your desktop.

All the songs and music clips on Sunday Software-created CDs are original creations written to help tell each CD's story. With one exception they were arranged, instruments played by and tracks mixed by Colin MacQueen, SoundWrangler Studios. The only song Colin didn't do was "Lend a Helping Hand" on the Good Sam CD. It was written and recorded at our request by Steve Lindsley, a Christian musician/performer and Presbyterian minister.
Neil MacQueen (yo) wrote the tunes and lyrics specifically for each project (except for Steve's) and in some cases even provided the lead vocals. Colin MacQueen provided some lead vocals. Other lead singers include: Barry Weaver (Ballad of the Prodigal Son) and Chandler Wright of the Chandler Wright Band (Joseph's Story CD song).
You will note a wide range of musical styles on this webpage and in our CDs. This is intentional. The CD which best demonstrates our belief in teaching with music is Abraham & Sarah, and that's why it has its own music page.
In addition to lead songs, we also write and produce all the extra music and sound FX in our CDs. We believe a good sound track and sound FXhelps make the program more interesting and opens up the learner's mind & heart. No off-the-shelf sound files for us.
Almost all our music pieces are stereo and high fidelity. Most software music is something less than that. The versions heard here on this webpage are "reduced" for a faster load time. We mix our music to sound decent on cheap computer speakers, but our stuff sounds best on good speakers with a sub-woofer. The low-end on O Father Abraham and Go Where the Spirit Says Go are awesome.
Occasionally someone will ask if they can perform one of our songs in worship or Sunday School. We are glad to give you permission to perform any of our songs in a local church setting. The LYRICS and CHORDS to many of our songs can be found LINKED in the Teaching Tips/Study Guides to our software here at our website.
