Before teaching with this CD, check to make sure the VIDEOS work in the Bible Time Theater section of the program. If the curtain just opens and closes without playing the video, you need to open the CD's files and double-click on the Quicktime Installation program (often abbreviated QT32.exe). Follow the prompts. The videos require this program to be installed from the CD. If you get a "3mb Virtual Memory" or "xobglu16.dll" error message, see our solution for Noah CD at www.sundaysoftware.com/support
Outline of the Life and Ministry of Jesus CD Note: The Discover the Bible section in Life of Jesus has bunches of scripture from the Gospels, but the main animated story and video clips center in on just a few of the events in Jesus' life.
The "Main" Animated Story: "Free Lunch" Jesus teaches, heals. He feeds the 5000.
Bible Time Theater: Down Through the Roof The Feeding of the 5000 Jesus Walks on Water
Discover the Bible:
The Discover section contains not only the brief stories listed and accessible through scrollable icons on the side of the screen, it also contains remarkably large parts of the four Gospels. To access them, you need to click on the left or right "hands" on the bottom toolbar. There you will find all the Kids Application notes and articles scattered throughout the pages. Any portion can be "read aloud" by clicking the traffic light. By the way, none of the six select stories accessed through the icons have notes associated with them. You now have a "talking Bible" on your hands for most of the stories in the Gospels! Teaching Tip: Each of the Kids Application Notes has lesson potential. See if the kids can find the corresponding verses that anchor the notes in that area of scripture. A worksheet steering them through the Jesus CD with "things to go look for and research" (such as: the symbols for each of the Beatitudes) would be a valuable tool. You may want to keep track in a notebook of the Application Notes you have used over time in your lessons. Some of them are worthy of complete lessons in their own right. Some Application Notes have been starred for special attention.

(It is also common to create a "Jesus software library" in your Sunday School knowing how popular he is to teach about!)
For example, the Feeding of the 5000 story is also found in the Life of Christ CD. So instead of needing 4 copies of Life of Jesus for that story, IF you already have 2 copies of Discovery's Life of Christ CD, you might only need two of Life and Ministry of Jesus CD on the two other computers. Students then SWITCH BETWEEN COMPUTERS (which they enjoy doing) to get the most out of each CDs on that story.
Another example: There is a brilliant animated/music piece in our Actual Reality CD featuring the Newsboys Christian rock group in which they discuss how to share Christ with others. This section could be used in tandem with Life and Ministry of Jesus' study note "Do the Right Thing...How to Bring Others to Jesus: Find, Tell, Show" found in the Discover the Bible section. Because Actual Reality CD deal with Christ quite a bit, it is common to find a copy or two in a children/youth computer lab. Stringing together such "pearls" is a fun way to teach and it makes the most of a number of excellent programs. AND you thus don't need one copy for each computer because you're running two different programs at the same time in your lab.
