![]() Awesome Bible Stories
CD features
six animated Major Bible stories with fun interactive learning
activities to help students dig into the
story,
remember it, and reflect on its life
application. Each story is faithfully retold through an exciting narration -rich with music, humor, and fun sound effects. Each story contains questions to consider and study notes for discussion. Each story has an interactive reflection activity, and several of the stories have games which deal with story content. Our design concept presents the stories in a memorable and fun way, providing appropriate background explanations to story content, explaining vocabulary, and zeroing in on the critical issues in these stories for kids. Our customers are also giggling at the humorous ways we have portrayed some of the characters and voices in these stories.
Sunday Software customers familiar with our previously released titles should note that this age range is a "little lower" than earlier titles. We have made a special effort to make most of the study content of this CD accessible and intelligible to non-readers and early readers. Some of the quizzes and question content will require that non-readers have help reading the text --(but they are meant to be discussed with an adult anyway). 7th & 8th graders will enjoy the animations and humor of this CD, all the activities, and the deeper study questions. Preschoolers enjoy everything but they will need a little bit of help working the controls, reading some un-narrated texts, and deciding which activities to do.

STORY ONE: STORY TWO: Introducing "Gabby" a.k.a. Gabriel ...Awesome Bible Stories' onscreen host and narrator for four of the six stories. Gabby has quite an amazing voice and dialect. Listen to Gabby's story narration in the Jacob Audio Clips here at this website. Gabby also "hosts" on onscreen reflection activity dubbed "Gabby Talker." Learn more about that by reading the description here on the right >>
Kids can work on Jacob and Esau's apologies in the Gabby Talker reflection activity. God makes his covenant with imperfect people. We are the people who wrestle with God and receive his blessing. We are to reconcile with each other. STORY FOUR: STORY FIVE: The life-application activity in Zaccheus is titled "How do you measure up." Kids will rate their responses to a series of questions about their spiritual practices and Christian life to generate a score. The questions themselves become a point of discussion, as will the students scores. Click here to see one of the "question ~ measuring devices" in action that the kids will use ...it's a very small 14kb "flash" file. STORY SIX:

The "Gabby Talker" graphic seen above is a screenshot of the reflection activity found in the Adam & Eve and Jacob & Esau stories that allows even non-readers to create Gabby reflections on subject matter. Gabby animatedly speaks what your student select for him using words from the story. This activity helps student create short sentences to express ideas from the story, or from their own thoughts about the story. For example, in the Jacob story, students can select words that express Esau's point of view. (As a teacher, the discussion possibilities are created by the differences in what the students create and play for the group). They can use it over and over again. In the Creation Story, Gabby Talker is a little different. Students select from Genesis 1's amazing vocabulary to create their own version of the Creation story. We call this activity a "Creation Power Poem." The idea that inspired this reflection activity was the abundance of AWESOME words found in Genesis 1. Especially in multiple computer settings, the group can listen to each other's Power Poems and discuss what the ideas behind those words mean to the students. "What do swarming and teeming tell YOU about God's desire for abundance?" "Good, good, very good. What's so important about the 'goodness' of Creation?"
