Music Selections from Various Sunday Software CDs

Music is a great teacher

Music creates focus

Music makes people feel comfortable

Music holds students on content

Music helps information get seen, heard and understood

Music promotes reflection

Good music is also fun and entertaining

That's why we at Sunday Software are putting all original hi-fi stereo music in our CDs in various styles that will appeal to a wide age range of young listeners and help their learning experience. Our song lyrics are specifically written to reinforce lesson concepts and create discussion. We even put some playful music stuff in our CDs (*see below)

When you hear our CDs, you'll hear the difference.

Good Sam CD: Short Clip from "Lend a Helping Hand" --the music from SamTv music video. 1.2 mb

Ten Commandments: Short Clip from "I Am Yahweh" --the music that accompanies a fly-over of Mt. Sinai and across desert. 2.7 mb

Ten Commandments: Short Clip from one of our Rock 'n Roll "gods and idols" Billboards along the trail up Mt. Sinai. 1.7 mb

Ten Commandments CD: Short Clip from the Greatest Commandment Flash presentation along the trail.
1.4 mb

Prodigal Son CD: Short Clip from "Ballad of the Prodigal Son" --music that accompanies our video recreation of the story on a real farm. 2.2 mb

Abraham and Sarah CD: Click here to go to that CD's own music page with three terrific selections.

These clips range in size from 1 to 2 mb range. Hopefully you have a speedy connection. They are worth the wait.

*If your browser/media player supports it, the music clips will start playing before they have completed downloading.

These web versions are short, and "resolutions" are lower to keep download times short. The CD versions are full tilt.

In addition to good teaching music and lyrics, we also pay attention to background music,
musical mouse roll-overs, and creative fun sound effects.

Each of our new generation CDs feature music videos
--the language of music, animation and video brought together in a popular format to create discussion and reflection.

We mix our sounds and music for average computer speakers but for good speakers too.

Like our music, even our sound effects are all custom originals and in STEREO.

A lot of software producers are using low resolution, off-the-shelf effects and wanky sounding midi music that just sounds canned.

In our CDs, sound is more than an after-thought, it an integral part of the learning experience
and a signature detail that Sunday Software is committed to quality.

To some that may sound like a sales pitch. To us, it's a non-negotiable design ethic.

We want your students to enjoy staying on content, enjoy the experience of finding content, remember content in a multi-modal way,
and want to come back to content over and over.

A few "Musical Notes"

*"Sam Land Map" in Good Sam --you can play songs, including "Hang on Sloopy," by rolling over town markers.

*Prodigal Son "Letters" section buttons are all notes in the song.

*In Ten Commandments CD, the buttons on the "Idol Thoughts" billboard are musical notes you can play tunes with too. If you roll over the "anti-commandments" on the shipwreck by Chaos Canyon, you'll hear some fun crashing sound effects.

*There's a boom box loaded with several great tunes in the Summit Chapel on Mt. Sinai in our Ten Commandments CD. Ten C's is loaded with music. Notice most are related to the main tune sung by Yahweh himself on top of Sinai in the 3-D music clip.

*Bonus song from Christian recording artist Steve Lindsley is tucked away in Prodigal Son's "SonTV channel 2."

*Abraham and Sarah includes a Song Skin where students can play several great tunes one of which includes a version of one of the most important songs in the CD with some extended guitar riffs.

*Winter 2002 Joseph CD will feature musical game to unlock a secret bonus room. A special two verse song from Joseph sums up the entire story of Joseph for your students in a memorable way.
