Details of the Satellite Wall Map:

Why is the RØHR Wall Map oriented with East at the top?
This is the traditional orientation of the Hebrew scriptures and people. Also, if the map were oriented vertically, then due to its large size (to accommodate the great detail)  the viewer could not easily see the detail at the top or bottom of the map. They'd need a step ladder to examine Galilee up near the ceiling!.

This is a spectacularly detailed satellite map of Israel. The highest resolution available. Up close the details pop-out at you. The map measures 3' x 12'. Here is a small reference photo to help you gauge the size:

Additional Resources: The Student / Teacher Package

Hardback copies of the full-size Holy Land Satellite Atlas (Volumes 1 and 2) are already available.  Also in preparation are the 'Compact' and 'Pocket Editions', (both one-volume); also the extra large wall-map called the  Holy Land Satellite Map  (3' x 12'), designed for classroom display, together with the companion set of  8 Detail Maps (2' x 3'), all with an expected publication date of Fall 2006.
