The Exodus Adventures 1.1 Update is Now Available

The following "Version 1.1" download will only work if you already have Exodus Adventures "0.9" or "1.0" installed.

INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a 65 megabyte (large) download, -best acquired over a fast broadband connection. If you have a slower connection, ask someone else to download it for you. It can be downloaded by anybody, burned to a CD and brought to your computer where your earlier version of Exodus Adventures is installed. (The update will not work if it isn't installed into the same directory where you have Exodus 0.9 or 1.0 already installed.)

1. Click the download link above. It will prompt you to save the file "Install Exodus Update.zip" to your computer. I suggest you 'save' it to your desktop.

2. After download is finished, copy the download file to a CD, and bring to the computer where your previous version of Exodus is already installed.

3. Unzip the download file to folder on your desktop (you can do this before or after you burn it to a CD). When you double click the zip file, you can specify where you want it to unzip itself. Create a folder on your desktop to unzip the files into.

4. Once you have unzipped the update file to a folder on your desktop, you'll see two files: 1) A "readme" text file, and 2) the setup.exe installation file. Read the readme file first.

5. Next, double-click the setup.exe file. The installer will ask you where your Exodus game files are located. By default, the installer expects them to be in c:\ Program Files\Exodus. Double check that's where you put the original game! If needed, you can change the installer's info as to where you want the update files to install.

6. Once the setup.exe installer is done, locate the NEW EXODUS ICON on your desktop to start the program. If you have an icon from the previous installation, drag it into your Recycle Bin. Only use the Newly installed Exodus Icon to start the game.

If you have technical problems starting the game after installing the update, read all the 'readme' files that install in c: \ Program Files \Exodus.

(A copy of it also installs in your Exodus folder with the game files.

We have a limited number of Update CDs which we can mail to those who can't download the update.

The update CD installs where you have the previous version of Exodus installed. It requires your previous version to already be installed. The Update CD has the same files as the Update download. Please allow up to two weeks for the update CD to arrive.

Here's how to get the Exodus 1.1 Update CD:

You do not need to send your previous Exodus CD in any special packaging, and you do not need to include the original jewelcase. If you have multiple copies of the CD, you just need to send ONE back to us. Just put the CD itself in a strong envelope, include your check for $4, include your RETURN ADDRESS, and send it to 4368 Brickwood. (Do not send it to our former office address at 4369.)
