Exodus Adventures features
Robin MacTavish, a young teenage archaeologist, and
granddaughter of the famous British Archaeologist, Sir Dabney
MacTavish.
Your students guide Robin through 3 games that traverse Egypt and Sinai, across the land and through the air --to learn about the Exodus story. 1. Birth to Burning
Bush and Confrontation with Pharaoh Now Shipping! |
Robin's "base of operations" is the
Monastery of St. Catherines, located at the foot of Mt. Sinai.
This is a real place in the real world which we have recreated in 3D
for Robin to explore and learn from the monks who have lived there
for thousands of years.
The Monastery is quite detailed. Your students will have fun exploring its nooks and crannies. Part of the learning experience takes place in the monastery. The monks have had quite a bit of time on their hands! For example, they have constructed a song game in Miriam's Library that teaches Miriam and Moses' Song of Victory.

Robin meets up with a number of people along her travels, including this Israelite complaining by the Well of Marah after the Red Sea in Game 2. She must find the scripture which reveals how Moses made the waters sweet, then follow in his footsteps. |
|
![]() When the Marah Well is sweet, the Israelite jumps in for a swim praising God. He sings a song similar to Miriam's Song heard in the first part of the game. As nighttime falls, Robin moves on to meet up with Deni the Monk in the Cave of Manna at Rephidim, --the same cave Moses and the Israelites stayed near when God gave them Manna. They have a discussion, and in the morning, the monk helps Robin discover manna. Then she is instructed to fly back to the monastery, locate the staff of Moses, and once again strike the Rock of Horeb to make water flow. And boy does the water flow! It creates a huge pool around the rock, and Robin can swim up to Sir Dabney and Deni the Monk to hear their concluding observations and questions about the Exodus story.

In Game 1, Robin must fly to Egypt, explore a Hebrew Village Dig Site, then flee to Midian and the land of the Burning Bush. Then she returns via helicopter to confront Pharaoh in his palace. | ||
![]() In the Land of Goshen, Robin learns the story of how the Israelites came to live in Egypt, and the story of Baby Moses. Robin encounters a taskmaster who forces her to collect straw. The village has been created in 3D based on an actual archaeological dig site, and features video of that site, and the story of the Hebrew's enslavement. Several video clips from TaLaC's terrific video "ExodusaRevealed" are shown in the village to help tell the story. |

View Video clips showing the program in action! As Robin visits the sites, the Exodus story somehow continues to replay itself. The soldier treats her as a Hebrew slave barking out commands and forcing her to carry straw. The guard reappears in Pharaoh's palace. Then the plagues descend once again at Pharaoh's Palace and Robin is led by an Israelite slave through the Plagues story quiz in order to escape. Once out of the Palace, Robin flys back to the Monastery to converse with Sir Dabney.

Pharaoh's Palace is only a little bit scary, and Robin must understand the story of the Plagues in order to escape.
We guarantee the plagues will descend once again!
Yes! There really is a "Robin" behind Robin MacTavish. You can hear Robin as the voice of Esther in Awesome Bible Stories CD, and she's also the narrator in our Elijah CD. |
All the audio for Exodus Adventures is custom designed & recorded at SoundWrangler Studios
Here two of our "monks" prepare Miriam's Song for Game 2. Your students hear parts of the song and must correctly put it together -to open the secret door to the Marah Trail, Well of Marah and beyond.. |
